      The setting of xiao is different, the common is G, 6 sound holes are completely closed, the cylinder tone is (d1), through the overblowing, the range is (d1 ~ e3), there are two octaves and another second degree. The flute has a soft tone and a different tone, 
The commonly used xiao is mostly in the tone of G, and can blow G, D, C, F, and B-flat. Xiao's tone is soft, light, elegant and sweet. The bass register is deep and distinctive when underplaying; The tone of the middle register is round and beautiful; High voice strain. Xiao has a low volume, suitable for solo or ensemble. The band plays better with several flutes at the same time. When playing with a single flute, the orchestration should pay attention to the moderate volume contrast.
