“Mizuhiki” is Japanese traditional paper cords which are originally used for decoration of greetings and presents.  Accessories made of “mizuhiki” are very popular in Japan because they are the lightweight wearable  art, as well as unique and fashionable. 

This knot shape is particularly called “Myoga”, which is a types of unique flavored vegetable and it indeed looks so.  I always like this shape because it also looks like a stringed instrument. 

Each earring is attached with a shimmering Swarovski bead.
